Es ist schon geraume Zeit vergangen, dass es Neuigkeiten von unserer Gehsportabteilung zu berichten gab. Unsere Seniorinnen und Senioren sind immer noch national und international sehr erfolgreich. Brigitte „Gitti“ Zeidler´s Medaillenschrank ist nun mittlerweile mit über 60 Titeln angefüllt und das M 55-Männerteam (Gaube/Evertz/Tolle) dominiert nicht nur in Deutschland das Geschehen auf der Bahn und der Straße, sondern ist inzwischen auch international anerkannt. Aber diese Tatsachen sind wohl Normalität geworden.
In der Vergangenheit hatten wir zwar schon einige Veranstaltungen im Rahmen des Geherpokals und der Geher-LIGA, das sind die Einzel- bzw. Mannschafts-Jahreswertungen aller Deutschen Geher entsprechend einer alters- und streckenklassifizierten Punktetabelle, organisiert. Leider waren unsere Wettbewerbstermine nicht immer so stark besucht, wie wir es uns erhofften. So schlief der Veranstaltungsort Berlin vor über zwei Jahren ein.
Das hat einigen unserer Mitglieder gar nicht gefallen. Mit Potsdam ist Berlin der Leistungsstandort unserer Leichtathletikdisziplin. Alle erfolgreichen und bekannten Geher kommen aus der Region Berlin-Brandenburg. Der SCC Berlin und der SC Potsdam sind die Heimat der letzten Deutschen Meister (außer Sabine Krantz, die aus familiären Gründen von Potsdam nach Wattenscheid gewechselt ist) und aller Teilnehmer an den Olympischen Spielen und Weltmeisterschaften. Ein Großteil der Nachwuchsarbeit erfolgt ebenfalls hier. Sehr gute Nachwuchsgeher im Jugend- und Schülerbereich (Emilia Lehmeyer/Polizei SV, Niklas Richter/jetzt SC Potsdam) stammen ebenfalls von hier.
So keimte der Gedanke, einen Wettkampf wieder beim Polizei SV zu installieren.
Besonders engagierte sich von Anfang an unser Sportfreund Uwe Tolle. Uwe ist zwar erst seit vier Jahren in unserem Verein aber sportlich sehr erfolgreich. Außerdem hat er das sportlich-organisatorische Talent, was uns bisher gefehlt hat. So richtete er anfangs die PSV-Sportaktionstage aus. Das waren Familiensportfeste, bei denen sich nicht nur unsere jungen Athleten mit den Senioren messen konnten, sondern auch die Eltern und Ehepartner einbezogen worden waren. Weiterhin hatte Uwe bereits Erfahrungen beim Organisieren und Durchführen von größeren Sportveranstaltungen, wie dem Stundenlauf im Marzahner Bürgerpark, mit fast 1.000 Beteiligten.
Ende 2012 wurden dann vom Deutschen Leichtathletik-Verband (DLV) die Meisterschaften 2013 ausgeschrieben. Wir bewarben uns um die Durchführung der Nationalen Schülermeisterschaften.
Auf Grund der Fürsprache der Bundestrainerin, Frau Manja Berger, erhielt unser Verein den Zuschlag.
Wir hatten ausreichend Zeit diese Meisterschaften vorzubereiten. Als Termin wurde das erste Septemberwochenende festgelegt. Dadurch war sichergestellt, dass in fast allen Bundesländern die Sommerferien beendet waren und eine große Anzahl der Schüler teilnehmen kann.
Anfangs standen verschiedene Standorte zur Debatte. Leider ist es uns nicht gelungen, die Meisterschaften in den „Gärten der Welt“ durchzuführen. Für diesen attraktiven Standort reichten unsere begrenzten finanziellen Mittel nicht aus und außerdem fehlten Beziehungen zum Land Berlin, die uns den Weg auf das IGA-Gelände hätten ebenen können.
Insbesondere durch Uwes Engagement wurde uns vom Bezirksamt Marzahn der Sportplatz in der Walter-Felsenstein-Straße und vom Quartiersmanagement Mehrower Allee die Kiezsporthalle zur Verfügung gestellt. So standen schon nach kurzer Zeit Termin und Ort fest.
Jetzt ging es um die Feinarbeit.
Auch dort leistete Uwe Schwerstarbeit. Neben Training, ehrenamtlicher Arbeit im Kiez, dem Erkämpfen diverser Medaillen bei Deutschen und Europa-Meisterschaften war er unermüdlich beim Einsatz um „seine“ Meisterschaften tätig. Ziemlich früh nahm er sich einen weiteren ehemaligen PSV-Athleten mit ins Boot.
Christoph Richter, der ältere Bruder von Niklas, hat ebenfalls seine sportlichen Wurzeln beim Polizei SV. Jetzt spielt er unter anderem beim VC Potsdam-Waldstadt Volleyball in der 3. Bundesliga, er ist Volleyball-Schiedsrichter und studiert an der FHS Sportmanagement. Des Weiteren betreut er die Homepages unserer LA-Abteilung und die seines Bruders. Er kümmerte sich um die Probleme der Ausschreibung, Zeitmessung, Auswertung und Internetpräsenz. Sein künstlerisches Talent lebte er bei der Gestaltung der Plakate, Werbemittel und der Urkunden aus.
Während der Veranstaltung gingen ihm dann Mutter Birgit als Schreibhilfe und Papa Lars als Botengänger und Fotograf zur Hand.
Da es bei solchen Wettkämpfen immer an Helfern mangelt, rührte Heinz-Jürgen Mittmann, der Gründer unserer Gehsport-Abteilung, mal wieder die Werbetrommel bei den älteren Sportlern im Verein, die immer bereit stehen, ihre Erfahrung und Hilfe zum Einsatz zu bringen. Gerade von den älteren erfahrenen Kameraden erhielten und erhalten wir immer wertvolle, leider manchmal unterschätzte, Hilfe. Da viele von ihnen nur über die Journale und Hefte zu erreichen sind, möchten wir ihnen hier unseren besonderen Dank aussprechen.
Dann kam der Tag der Wahrheit.
Obwohl die Wettkämpfe erst gegen Mittag beginnen sollten, bat Uwe alle Athleten und Helfer zu 08:00 Uhr zur „Aufbauhilfe Marzahn“.
Er selbst hatte bereits beim örtlichen REWE-Markt und der Fleischerei Eichelmann, die als Sponsoren gewonnen werden konnten, „eingekauft“.
Nach und nach kamen alle unsere Helfer zum Sportplatz. Jeder legte sofort Hand an und half wo er konnte. Es wurden Zelte aufgebaut, Laub gefegt, die Strecke abgesteckt, Verpflegungsstände aufgebaut und die ersten Gäste und Kampfrichter begrüßt. Große Hilfe leisteten auch die Sportwarte vom FC Nordost, die sonst die Hauptnutzer des Platzes sind, und Uwe´s Freunde und Nachbarn von der Laufgruppe „Wuhlewiesel“. Es gab Kuchen- und Kaffeespenden und viel „manpower“.
Natürlich gab es auch einige organisatorische Rückschläge.
Wir hatten keine elektronische Zeitmessung vor Ort. In Absprache mit den Wettkampfrichtern wurde diese durch Handstoppung und Listenführung ersetzt. Eine einfache und effiziente Notlösung!
Es fehlte uns das elektronische Verständnis die Stadionsprechanlage in Gang zu bringen. Uwe war nicht umsonst jahrelang Trainer. Er konnte auch ohne technische Hilfsmittel den halben Stadtbezirk Marzahn stimmlich beschallen!
Der Bezirksbürgermeister Herr Kommoß, der die Schirmherrschaft übernommen hatte, war leider kurzfristig erkrankt. Auf Grund des Bundestagswahlkampfes stand leider kein weiterer Vertreter des Bezirksamtes zur Verfügung. Da Uwe auch für hervorragendes Wetter gesorgt hatte, benötigten wir keinen Schirmherren. Für den Sonnenschutz hatten wir Zelte aufgestellt, die trotz unserer laienhaften Arbeit immer noch standen, und die Eröffnungsrede hielt dann unser Vorstandsmitglied Ramona Manske. Sie hatte es sich nicht nehmen lassen, Präsenz zu zeigen und die Mitmoderation zu übernehmen. Stimmlich wurde sie, wie gesagt, von Uwe Tolle unterstützt!
Inzwischen hatten immer mehr Athleten und Betreuer den Weg in den Osten der Hauptstadt gefunden.
Vor den Wettbewerben im Gehen wurden einige Laufwettkämpfe im Rahmenprogramm angeboten. Sie sind leider nicht ganz so gut angekommen. Die Teilnehmerzahl über die 800 und 1.000 m war sehr gering. Unser Urgestein der Laufgruppe, Wilfried Köhnke, wurde Zweiter über die 1.000 m.
Dann „ging“ es im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes um die Hauptwettkämpfe.
Im ersten Rennen starteten die jüngsten Sportler unserer Disziplin über die 1-km-Strecke. Start und Ziel lagen im Stadion, dann ging es auf Straße ins Wohngebiet und wieder zurück auf die Tartanbahn. Da es sonst bei Gehsport-Veranstaltungen sehr wenige Zuschauer gibt, freuten sich die 7 U-12-Kämpfer über den regen Applaus der später Startenden, der Eltern, Freunde und Betreuer.
Streng nach Zeitplan wurden die immer größer werdenden Startergruppen ins Feld geführt.
In der AK U-14 rangen 18 junge Sportler zwei Kilometer lang um die Medaillen und die mit der Berliner Siegessäule gestalteten Urkunden.
Im dritten Rennen waren dann auch unsere jungen Frauen der U-16, Alina, Lena (die extra ihre Geburtstagsfeier verschoben hatte) und Katja, in der 15-köpfigen Startergruppe. Mit Zeiten über 18 Minuten hatten sie leider nichts mit der Medaillenvergabe zu tun. Wir waren stolz, dass es trotz einiger quantitativer Nachwuchssorgen Volker gelungen war eine komplette „Mann“-schaft zum Start zu motivieren. Unser „Ehemaliger“ Niklas Richter wurde in diesem packenden Rennen mit knapp 15:00 Minuten Zweiter.
Zum krönenden Abschluss wurden in einem offenen Wettkampf 5 Runden gegangen.
Hier traten über 30 Geher aller Altersklassen gegeneinander an.
Die Alterspanne war sehr sehr groß. Sie fing bei Emilia Lehmeyer vom PSV, die uns schon erfolgreich in Rostock bei Deutschen Jugendmeisterschaften vertreten hat, an und endete mit dem jetzt 72-jährigen Olympiasieger von 1968 über die 50 km Christoph Höhne. Dazwischen die Polizei-Sportler Anneke Heuer, Brigitte Zeidler, Wolf D. Giese, Bernd Hölters, Bernd Affeln, Wilfried Gaube, Günter Evertz, Ralf Janotte und Carsten Ulferts.
Um einen reibungslosen organisatorischen Ablauf zu gewährleisten verzichteten Heinz-Jürgen Mittmann und Uwe Tolle uneigennützig auf einen Start und auf die sichere Chance auf Medaille, Urkunde und Punkte in der Geherpokalwertung.
Gesamtsieger wurde Nils Gloger vom SC Potsdam in einer Zeit von 21:08 Minuten. Bester PSV-er war wieder einmal Wilfried Gaube. Carsten zeigte einen sehr guten, technisch sauberen und athletischen Wettkampf und bewies in seiner kurzen Geher-Karriere eine positive Tendenz.
Großes Lob an Anneke und Bernd Affeln, die eine weite Anreise nicht scheuten und unsere Reihen mal wieder verstärkt haben.
Hervorragend war mal wieder die Leistung von unserem Jugendstar Emilia Lehmeyer, der es gelang Günter Evertz eins „rüberzubraten“. Weiter so Emilia!
Zusammenfassend können wir sagen, dass es uns gelungen ist, die Vorbereitung und Durchführung einer solchen Veranstaltung zu bewältigen.
Wir wissen jetzt, wo unsere Schwächen und Fehler waren und können sie in Zukunft vermeiden oder abmildern.
Wir wissen aber auch wo unsere Stärken sind und das wir uns aufeinander verlassen können.
